Hi readers. It’s a new month again, so it’s time for a new portfolio on my investments. How did February go? I invested a little bit more money and discovered some new platforms which I am trying and checking out at the moment to be able to review them soon for you.
I also changed the theme on my blog in February and I’m reading and watching videos a lot about blogging to become better at this. Here is my P2P portfolio for February 2019:
- Portfolio value: € 14,581.30
- Deposits: € 1,450.00
- Withdrawals: € 451.00
- Passive income: € 116.60
The withdrawals are from Geld voor Elkaar and Funding Circle who pay monthly interest and principal on my bank account. I haven't withdrawn any money manually.
Now on to the numbers for each platform:
|Geld voor elkaar||€||47.95||€||9,000.00||€||6,809.04||7.72 %|
|Funding Circle||€||13.75||€||1,500.00||€||1,220.91||- 21.08 %|
|Mintos (rubles)||€||0.14||€||500.00||€||495.00||17.07 %|
|Fast Invest||€||0.00||€||500.00||€||500.00||14.08 %|
Geld voor Elkaar
As you can see in the pie chart I added this month, Geld voor Elkaar is about half of my portfolio. Way to much for my liking, but it's because I started only with that platform back in 2017. I didn't know anything about investing, p2p or fire at that time and I didn't know any other platforms. I'm not reinvesting here, at least not for a couple of years.
The late payment from last month has been paid now and everything is on time again. I'm not doing much with Geld voor Elkaar now, I just let it do it's thing and I get money on my bank account every month from it.
On Envestio I invested the funds I had left in my account. I invested only a few euros in the last projects, because that was in my account and I was like, why not? That's the great thing about Envestio. You can invest any amount, it doesn't have to be a round number, it can be like € 4.82 or whatever you want it to be.
This month I published my Mintos review. I got great feedback about the Auto Invest explanation, thank you for that! I already found some extra information I can add to the review.
I transferred another € 500 to Mintos and exchanged that to Rubles, because the Ruble % are up to 18,5%, so I just wanted to give that a try. The exchange did cost me € 3,50, and I have to pay again if I exchange back to Euro. So I don't know if this is helpful at all, but we'll see.
The numbers are a bit harder to calculate, because of the exchange rate between Ruble and Euro. So it looks like I lost something on it, but that's just the exchange rate at this moment. So beware of the exchange rate if you want to use the currency exchange!
This month I added some funds on Crowdestor and invested all of it. On Crowdestor you can also invest any amount, so I can always reinvest my received interest. I've invested in 6 projects so far. New on Crowdestor: they introduced a Buyback Guarantee Fund. Very nice as that will decrease the risk.
One of the projects of Funding Circle is now 90 days late and that's why the achieved return drastically went down into the negative. When a project is 90 days late, they don't include it anymore and they treat that as a loss. They do go after the money, but the chance that I will get it back isn't very high.
The expected gross yield is still 16.34% and the achieved return is now down to -21.08%. Lets see how this one goes and what Funding Circle does for investors at this point.
I haven't done much with Grupeer yet. All my investments are at 14% and they are all still the same since I invested in them.
The remaining terms are between 8 and 10 months, and my auto invest will reinvest the principal I receive. I think I'm going to transfer some more money to Grupeer in March.
I will soon dive into Grupeer to review them.
I transferred € 500 to Fast Invest and invested them all. I invested € 400 manually and for the last € 100 I used the auto invest tool and got some 15% loans, which is great! I haven't received any interest yet in February, since I started all loans this month. Next month I will see the first interest coming in.
I've got € 500 invested on Crowdestate now. The thing I don't like is that you can only invest round numbers and at least € 100. This means I can't reinvest my interest for a while until I'm back above € 100, which takes pretty long with only € 500 invested. I'm just going to check this out for a while to see how it goes.
I just discovered Finbee this month and put € 100 in to try it out. It's not all invested yet as there aren't that many loans.
The interest rates are pretty attractive, so let's see how the loans are doing at Finbee. I'm going to check this one out for a while and dive into them to make a good review.
Monestro is another platform I discovered this month. It's a very small platform and because of that, the loans aren't being funded. So I don't have any money invested yet. I transferred € 100 to them. I will keep trying and check them out for a while.
Summary P2P lending
I surpassed the € 100 in passive income this month, yay! It will be higher next month again, as some platforms haven't paid out yet as I just started using them. I haven't set a passive income goal in my goals 2019 post, but I did set the invested amount at € 20,000 as a goal. I think that should get me close to € 150 per month. Still a long way to go to get to real numbers, but that's okay. I will reach it eventually :-)
I will add graphs for each platform when I'm a little longer in the platforms, as it doesn't make much sense to place a graph with numbers for 1 or 2 months.
In February, my 2nd month of blogging I had 967 pageviews (403 in January) and 482 visitors (191 in January). On Facebook I've got 1 follower (my mum haha) and on Twitter I've got 165 followers.
I don't know exactly what it was at the end on January, but it was below 100. I made a Pinterest and an Instragram account yesterday, so I will dive into that this month and we'll see if that gives me some extra traffic.
